COVID-19 UPDATE

DUE TO COVID-19 IMPLICATIONS: We will not be in person to start the training year, we will be virtual. 876 has its own Zoom license and that will be our primary platform for Wednesday nights training. We also will be pushing to update our website and social media so it is more user friendly and current on information and training as well as trying some new things to keep cadets informed and involved.

Become A Cadet

What if you were told that there was a dynamic, structured youth program that offered Canadian youth a variety of interesting and challenging activities?

What if you were told that this same program developed in youth an increased level of self-confidence, self-esteem and self-awareness?

Cadets are motivated to improve their physical fitness, to work harder at their academic studies and to give back to their communities through volunteerism and citizenship activities.

The Cadet Program also has a direct impact on Canadian society as a whole. Cadets have the opportunity to take part in various leadership roles throughout the program. There is definite value in having well-rounded, community-minded, experienced young people who are ready to assume their places as tomorrow’s leaders and decision makers. - Government Of Canada

What Cadets Do

Cadets are motivated to improve their physical fitness, to work harder at their academic studies and to give back to their communities through volunteerism and citizenship activities.

The Cadet Program also has a direct impact on Canadian society as a whole. Cadets have the opportunity to take part in various leadership roles throughout the program. There is definite value in having well-rounded, community-minded, experienced young people who are ready to assume their places as tomorrow’s leaders and decision makers.

Truly unique to the Cadet Program is that it offers experiences you cannot get anywhere else! The Cadet Program stimulates an interest in the Sea, Army and Air activities of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). To this end, we offer dynamic training in a supportive and efficient environment where change is a positive and essential element.

Air cadets engage in activities such as Air crew survival, Music and marching band, military drill, Sports, and Aviation.

Aviation focuses on aspects such as aircraft mechanics, air craft technology, air traffic control and most of all Glider and Powered pilots licences.
